Visit of the city and the Castle

Birthplace of the most famous person in the world Norman, William the Conqueror, Falaise retains an exceptional medieval heritage: the Anglo-Norman towers perched on a rocky outcrop, the castle walls, the walls flanked by towers, the Porte des Cordeliers (13th S) who kept the city from invasions. This city tour takes you in the choir of our church and in the old quarter of the Fair Guibray. You will also discover the famous bronze statue of William the Conqueror and the Dukes of Normandy.

For groups and by reservation, the Tourist Office offers guided tours of "Falaise, Medieval City 'or' Castle William the Conqueror and visit the city."

Tour bus and on foot:
Panoramic tour of the city with passage in the district of Guibray, through panoramique (stop at The Fountain of Arlette and Lavoir old) and guided tour of a church of Falaise (Trinity Church)

Circuit walk:
After recalling the origins of Falaise and along the medieval walls, we discuss its renaissance and the characteristics of its reconstruction.
