South Calvados, the heart of Normandy

The south Calvados is composed of two tourist destinations nearby, The Pays de Falaise to the East and the Suisse Normande to the west. The south Calvados contains all the diversity of the Normandy Landscape in just a few kilometers. Visitors will enjoy here discovering a mosaic of fields, hills, prairies, valleys and streams, in tune with the rhythm of the seasons.

As a historically rich Region, several small castles and noble manors, often accompanied by large stables, can be seen and most often visited. While in the region, don’t miss Pontecoulant Castle, close to Condé sur Noireau, The Park at La Motte d’Acqueville, Vendeuvre Castle and William the Conqueror’s Castle in Falaise.
Our privileged situation, at the crossroads of the Caen Plain, the farms of Pays d’Auge, and the foothills of Armorican Massif makes the South Calvados an ideal place to stay to discover Normandy. All the major sites of the Region are less than 2 hours drive

There’s never a lack of things to do with your family here. William the Conqueror’s Castle in Falaise offers children audio visual guides, the Miniature railway in Clécy and the Automaton Museum makes their imagination soar. Recreation areas designated for the whole family includes the aquatic centers, canoeing, horse riding centers, rope courses, which are open from spring to mid-november.
Plenty of events for the young and old : Game’s Festival in august in Falaise, Adventure Sports week-end in September, gourmet walks, dramatized walking tours, Falaise Winter Festival…
