Come and see world famous cheeses being made. Livarot and Pont l’Eveque can only be only made in Normandy and you can see the process by walking through windowed galleries above the factory floor.
Graindorge Cheesemakers was founded in 1910 by Eugene Graindorge, who made and matured Livarot. It is still an independent, family owned firm after three generations.
Visit the cheese “village” – free
Graindorge have been welcoming visitors for more than 10 years. Your visit to their cheese “village” shows you each step in the process of making the cheeses, you can watch staff from the windowed galleries above the cheese rooms. There are films, information panels and interactive games, something for all members of the family.
Its better to go in the mornings there is more to see.
Cheese Bar (July and August only 9.30 – 4.30)
Your visit ends with the Cheese Bar where a special prepared plate of Normandy cheese awaits you.
